Editorial policy
The editorial policy defines how DeFiUtopia.com chooses topics, evaluates sources, distinguishes facts from interpretation, and corrects material errors.
Topic selection and reader intent
Coverage begins with a concrete reader question: how an asset works, how a protocol position is constructed, how networks differ, what can fail, or how to verify a transaction. Search relevance helps readers find the work, but keywords do not determine conclusions or justify repetition.
Articles are assigned a primary topic, category, and descriptive tags. The structure is designed to reduce overlap so each guide adds a distinct model, workflow, comparison, or risk analysis.
Sources and verification
We prefer protocol documentation, standards, regulators, central banks, multilateral institutions, academic work, and other primary or authoritative material. An outbound source must directly support the section in which it appears. Source reputation does not eliminate the need to check dates, scope, definitions, and conflicts.
Market interfaces and protocol parameters can change. Readers should treat publication dates as part of the context and verify live conditions independently before making a transaction.
Independence, conflicts, and promotions
Editorial copy does not promise returns, safety, regulatory approval, liquidity, or permanent access. We do not invent testimonials, partnerships, adoption figures, credentials, or performance claims. Any future commercial relationship that could affect a page would require a visible disclosure.
Names of tokens, companies, standards, and protocols are used for identification and education. Mention does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship.
Corrections and material updates
Corrections can be submitted to [email protected]. A material correction should identify the page, claim, and supporting source. When a substantive update is made, the visible modified date and structured data should reflect the real change rather than artificial freshness.
Minor typography or accessibility fixes may not change the editorial modified date when they do not alter meaning.
